A big thank you to everybody who visited us at @springautumnfair. We had a great four days showcasing the new collection and it went down a treat. We’ve already almost sold out of our new 80% cotton / 20% viscose scarves; you loved them! And scarf sales were definitely up overall with retailers loving the quality, colours, designs and prices. The magnetic brooches continued to delight. And we were told by a couple of new stockists that ‘the brooch is back’. We’ve not tried to keep it a secret but the brooch has been back at Miss Milly for several years now so it’s great to see that becoming more mainstream. And in terms of colours, the ice blue, mid pink and pale aqua (or sea foam) palettes were loved. We’re working hard getting the orders out. Time for another trade show to showcase our new collection jewellery, scarves and bags to gift and fashion retailers. Now it’s the turn of our biggest show, @springautumnfair at the @necbirmingham. And this time it was a solo set-up, starting and finishing with a trek in the rain. Lots to do before the colourful display fun happens from plastic carpet cover removal to wall fixings and table making. We spent over a decade also transporting all the furniture and fittings but now we have a logistics man to do the heavy lifting. And a couple of years ago Sarah finally gave herself the luxury of no longer fitting the lighting, which was her least favourite part of the build. This Spring Fair build was 11 hours from leaving home to falling back in through the door. But we’re so pleased with how this collection came together and can’t wait to welcome retailers onto the stand at our 21st Spring Fair!
