1. What personal information we collect
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. For the exhaustive list of cookies we collect see section 8 below. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
In addition to customer, we also collect personal information about enquirers, suppliers, service providers and employees.
2. What we do with the information we gather
We process personal information to enable us to buy, sell, promote and advertise our products and services; maintain our own accounts and records; support and manage our employees. For trade customers, we may also share information with our self-employed sales agents to enable them to sell and promote our products and services and maintain their own accounts and records in their sales territory. Communication may be by email, phone or post.
We sometimes need to share the personal information we process with the individual themself and also with other organisations. Where this is necessary we are required to comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act (DPA). With regards to timelines, we will keep all sales related personal information for at least six years as directed by HMRC.
3. Your consent and rights
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific legitimate reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

We will need proof of identity and address (a copy of your driving licence and/or passport and a recent credit card or utility bill). If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and we follow all PCI-DSS requirements.
5. Third party services
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. We use SagePay and Paypal for payment processing.
Google Analytics: Our store uses Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our site and what pages are being looked at. The collected data is anonymous.
6. Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
